T4 W3 Numeracy

Numeracy : This week for numeracy we have been working on angles , I learnt that all triangles add up to 180 degrees, also an Acute angle is 0-90 , A right angle is 90 degrees and Obtuse is 90-180. A reflex is anything above 180 degrees. I also learnt that an Scalene has all different sides, Isosceles is 2 the same one different and a equilateral is all the same. I already new all of this but it was good to go back over it.

T4 W3 Writing reflection

Writing : This week since it was Halloween on Wednesday, our class got to do Horror Narrative Writing .  I really enjoyed writing these because they are so fun. To make a good piece of Narrative writing  you need to use detailed and descriptive words. I haven't finished mine yet but here is what I have so far.

Truth or dare? It all started with a dare from my best friend Ella. It was a late Friday night and Ella and I were walking to the shop to collect some items for tea. We came across a dark narrow street and decide to see where it heads to. We found an old abandoned house at the the end of the dark street, there are no street lights so we had to use our phone torches for light. The house is covered in spiderwebs and smells like it’s rotting with mold and dampness. Suddenly Ella says I dare you to go in there. I am scared but a dare is a dare. As I walk up to the door I can feel a shiver running through me like I've just been shocked with electricity.  The door creaks loudly as I enter the building. The first thing I see is a long dark corridor with dust and rubble covering the floor. It’s deathly silent as I cautiously walk towards the gleaming light through the crack in the ceiling. I hear weird repeating whispering sounds as I walk down the hallway. The door slams shut as I slowly make my way round the house.

Reflection

Writing : This week we had to write a argument about if animals should be kept in zoos or in the circus. Ella and I choose to do it on whether animals should be in the circus. Here is our writing piece.

Would you like to be trapped in a cage having to practice acts all day everyday. Well we know that we definitely wouldn't. We think that animals should not have to be abused for human entertainment. The animals are living a sad and lonely life and should be out there enjoying the world instead of being stuck inside and not being in there natural habitat. We`re  going to tell you 3 reasons why we think animals should not be in circuses.

Would you like to be abused and carried around for your whole live? Well the animals that act in circuses are not treated very nicely. They have been taken from their homes to act in circuses for human entertainment. The circus instructors use whips, tight collars, muzzles and electric prods to make the animals do as they are told witch is an abusive way to control animals.

The animals are living a lonely and sad life, what if that was you? They are chained up and not feed properly and are forced to do things they don't want to do. They are not living a usual life and they will probably die earlier in life then other animals because of being overworked and always being exhausted.

What If you weren't with other humans and you were always with animals instead of people like you. Well these animals aren't in there natural habitat and are forced to live in cages instead. I think it's very unfair and wrong for people to treat animals this way.

Those 3 reasons right there are why we strongly think that animals should not be in circuses.

What do you think?
