Weekly refection W3 T1

Literacy: This week for literacy we have been working on Limerick poems. We had to create 3 google drawings and write our Limericks 1 in each . A limerick usually is a funny poem. It has to have 5 lines. The first 2 and the 5th line have to rhyme and 3 and 4 lines have to rhyme. Lines 1, 2 and 5 should have 7-10 syllables and lines 3 and 4 should have 5 - 7 syllables. Here are my three. 

End of term Refection

Literacy- This week since it is the last week of term Miss P wanted us to put our best work on our blogs from this term. I choose this because I worked really hard on it!

Writing : This week for writing I didn't have a set task so I decided  to make a screen Castify with Ella and Katelin. We wanted to do a interview so we decided to interview Santa. I had lots of fun making this. We also had some funny bloopers.

Writing: This week for writing I have been working on 2 Actives to do with Christmas. I decided to re write the Christmas poem 12 days of Christmas and put it in to my own words and and then I had to put it into the shape of a Christmas tree . I also do a persuasive piece of writing to convinces Santa to put me on the nice list.  

Literacy Refection T4 W6

Reading : This week for Reading I had to fill out a goggle drawing on why we have 7 days in a week. First I had to read a long text then I had to make sure I had an introduction , three main points and a conclusion. I also had to create a word cloud on all the new vocabulary I found in the story. Last but no lest I had to fill out an pad-let on the hard words that were in the story.  

Writing: This week for writing I had to about the earthquake the recently hit  New Zealand. This is what happened when it hit my house...

 

ZZZ   I was fast asleep, It was  just a regular night , at least that's I thought …

My eyes slowly opened as my mum was calling my name. “ Kaede , Kaede wake up ” She pulled me out of bed and dragged me out of bed and under my door way. I didn’t know what was going on . I asked my dad “ Whats happening ? ” and he said , “ It’s an Earthquake ! ” Once it had settled down , I climbed into Mum and dad's bed and kicked dad to my bed so I could sleep with mum. My dog was also very scared and slept on mum’s bed as well. It was a very scary situation and I hope it never happens again.

Facts: 7.5 , Over 2 minutes long, very scary, centered in cavort

Word work : This week for word work I chose to do ABC words. I had to write down all my words then put them into Alphabetical order.

 

Literacy Refection T4 W5

Word work : This week I have been working on my spelling words. I chose to do mixed words because I thought It would be  fun.  I had to write my 10 spelling words right then write them mixed 

Writing : I have also been working on writing . My task was to complete the acrostic poem based around a myth, legend or fable. I chose to do a dragon because the are my favorite mythical creature.

Reading : This week for reading I had to Read a book sally and the cheese and then do a burger explantioan to re write the main facts in the book.
